Pa. Supreme Court rules Lane-Mendte trial will be held in Philadelphia

The trial we’ve all been waiting for will, in fact, take place in Philadelphia. The state Supreme Court has ruled in favor of former CBS3 anchor Alycia Lane, whose civil suit against the network and former co-anchor Larry Mendte will be tried in Philadelphia.

CBS lost its appeal to hold the trial in New York, the Daily News reports. Lane, if you recall, alleges Mendte hacked into her email account and that the network ignored her claims. Mendte pleaded guilty in 2008 and was sentenced to six months of house arrest and probation. Lane later filed her suit. Neither still works for CBS.
