Pa. man accused of eating raw meat, putting opened packages back on shelves

    Walmart employees say they caught a Carlisle, Pennsylvania man allegedly eating raw meat, then putting the opened packages back on the shelves.

    The Patriot-News reports the man, a 53-year-old, was observed eating from several packages without paying Monday afternoon.  According to police, the meat was valued at $24.53.

    The Patriot-News reports a store employee followed the man out of the store, then notified a nearby police officer.

    The man was taken into custody after it was found he had four prior retail theft convictions, according to The Patriot-News.
