Pa. commission launches crime-related data website

How many people are on parole in Pennsylvania? How many arrests have there been in your county, and for what?

That information is available to the public for free, but hasn’t always been easy to access. So the state’s Commission on Crime and Delinquency has announced the creation of a website that houses crime-related data.
PaCrimeStats.info tracks arrest, paroles, offenses and incarceration rates. The data come from the Department of Corrections, the Board of Probation and Parole, the Commission on Sentencing, State Police, the Pennsylvania Justice Network and the Juvenile Court Judges’ Commission.

The project is partially funded by a U.S. Department of Justice grant.
