Overnight accident in Northeast Philly leaves 1 dead, 1 critical

    Officials are investigating an overnight crash in the Bustleton section of the city that claimed the life of a teenage passenger and left the driver of the vehicle in critical condition.

    According to CBS3, it was just before 4 a.m. that a driver lost control of his vehicle and smashed into a tree near Grant Avenue and Krewstown Road.

    The driver is reportedly a teenage boy who is in very critical condition. He was taken to Aria Hospital Torresdale.

    Police say the passenger was a teenage girl who was ejected from the car and killed instantly.

    ABC6 reports that it took rescue workers close to 30 minutes to free the young man from the vehicle.
