Over 1,000 without power at the Jersey Shore around noon

    The two power companies serving the Jersey Shore are reporting over 1,000 without power shortly before noon today.

    In Monmouth County, JCP&L reports 964 customers without power, while 43 in Ocean County are without electricity. 

    The utility, which is investigating the cause of these spot outages, expects restoration in both counties during the early to mid-afternoon hours. Click here for specifics.
