On the move

    A group of West Mt. Airy residents have formed a committee to take a stand against the high number of traffic accidents in the area. The Northwest Traffic Calming Committee is researching ways to calm and reroute traffic to make commuting safer for all.

    NewsWorks partner Philadelphia Neighborhoods talks with a few residents and NTCC members on what they’re doing to decrease the number of what they say are preventable crashes in the region.

     

    “On average, there are about three accidents per week in less than a one-mile radius of the residential area here,” Kitty Dior told Philadelphia Neighborhoods about the intersection near her home at Lincoln Drive and Hortter Street.
