Ocean City mayor to create tourism campaign

For the longest time, your yearly vacation destination was the same place your parents and grandparents took you: Wildwood, Sea Isle, Ocean City, Sea Isle, etc.

Now, it’s all about affordability. Ocean City, NJ, Mayor Jay Gillian hopes Shore-goers will consider the city a wise investment and enjoyable vacation spot.

Gillian is in the early stages of planning a marketing campaign to bring tourists to the beach town, the Press of Atlantic City reports. He hopes the steady housing market will draw investors looking to start businesses and bu second homes, and that the family-friendly appeal will bring in new summer tourists.

The campaign will target the Philadelphia and New York markets.
