Occupy Delaware holds rally in Newark

Members of Occupy Delaware will take part in a rally in Newark before a big event Saturday in Wilmington in cooperation with Occupy Philadelphia.

The group will hold a tent raising and rally at Wilmington’s Spencer Plaza from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday.  The event signifies support of the Delaware movement from the Occupy Philadelphia group, with the Philadelphia group donating a military command post tent won in a contest to Occupy Delaware.  Also, speaking at the rally will be Dan Choi, a gay Iraq War Veteran and West Point Officer who helped bring an end to the military’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy.
