    Mayor Nutter says Philadelphia will have to fight for some of the federal stimulus money. WHYY’s Tom MacDonald reports.

    Nutter: “Cops program, more police officers on the street that’s a competitive program, Philadelphia is in the category of course of cities with more than 250 thousand in population, we’ll compete will all the cities in that category to go after additional police officers and we’ll certainly be extremely competitive.”

    The mayor says the city still doesn’t know how much stimulus money Philadelphia will receive, but in this economy any additional federal funding will be put to use.
