Nutter administration to relaunch government accountability program
Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter and Managing Director Rich Negrin will revive an old program today when they announce the relaunch of PhillyStat.
A program dreamed up by Nutter’s first Managing Director Camille Barnett, PhillyStat is supposed to improve government accountability through public meetings focused on departmental performance and improvement.
The first incarnation of the program fell flat because it wasn’t really resulting in improvements, as you can read about on It’s Our Money.
PhillyStat is already on Twitter, but the official announcement is due at 9 a.m.
