The Electric Adventure dance music festival held on the beach in Seaside Heights this past weekend culminated with numerous arrests and overdoses, authorities said.

Police arrested 35 adults and seven juveniles, said Al Della Fave, spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, in a release.

20 of the adult arrests were controlled dangerous substance related, while three juveniles were taken into custody for the same offense, according to Della Fave.

By the end of the festival, there were 34 overdoses, the spokesman said.

    None were fatal.

“The majority of the above issues were contained within the event venue,” Della Fave said.

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Operations Plan included coverage by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, New Jersey State Police, Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, and the Seaside Heights Police Department.
