Northeast Philadelphia teacher wins Teacher of the Year Award

    School District of Philadelphia officials surprised computer technology teacher Sharon Mora this morning with the Dr. Ruth Wright Hayre Teacher of the Year Award. Mora teaches at Edwin Forrest Elementary School in Tacony.

    Assistant Superintendent Anna Jenkins, Forrest Elementary School Principal Patricia Epps and Len Rizzotti, Regional Vice President, Lincoln Investment Planning Inc. (sponsor of the award) wrapped up the school’s Spirit Week by presenting Mora with a $2,500 check.
