No pool: Montgomery County neighborhood pool forced to close down

Just days before record setting heat in Pennsylvania, residents of the Bright Hope Community in Montgomery County say they learned their pool was to be closed down.

In a story from The Mercury, residents of the community say they were notified by the Montgomery County Housing Authority that the pool was to be closed.

According to the story, the county confirms it issued a letter to close the pool indicating residents were not allowed to have a pool of any size.  Housing authority executive direction Joel Johnson told The Mercury the decision to ban pools is mandated by Pottstown Code Enforcement.

The residents of Bright Hope say they have a pool, but not one that is big enough to warrant a permit.
