No penalty fo N.J. farmer linked with poisoned birds

The Millville, N.J, farmer whose pesticide use has been linked to bird deaths will not be penalized.

About 80 birds were found dead on the ground Tuesday. They fell from the sky after apparently being poisoned by Avitrol, a pesticide designed to control birds that damage crops.

The Press of Atlantic City reports farmer Richard Ingraldi had the proper license to use Avitrol.
