NLNA: Free Street Trees

We’ve planted about 200 new street trees in Northern Liberties – now you can apply for one in front of your home or business next Spring!

Street trees clean our air, reduce energy costs, increase home values (by 14% according to a 2004 Wharton study), and beautify the neighborhood.

There is no charge, but you must submit an application by Friday, July 30 to be included in the Spring 2011 planting.

Download the application from nlna.org. For help or for more info, email Erika Goldberg, bgoldewag@verizon.net.

Also, you can learn how to plant and care for your tree by taking a free Tree Tenders class with the PA Horticultural Society this fall. Pre-register now by clicking here.
