NJ State Police sent to Atlantic City to urge residents to evacuate
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie says State Police troopers and New Jersey Transit officials have been sent to Atlantic City to urge residents to evacuate.
According to the Press of Atlantic City, the Governor said officials were concerned about high-rise buildings in the area where senior citizens were opting to stay, despite hurricane warnings.
According to the Governor, Long Beach Island and Cape May County have evacuated more than 90 percent of residents.
