Nine candidates removed from Delaware County ballot

    Ballot challenges are cropping up outside Philadelphia. Nine candidates have been removed from Delaware County’s ballot after 31 were challenged.

     

    The Delaware County Times has the full challenge report, which mostly included typos and clerical errors. But nine now face the decision of whether to appeal.

    Democratic Ridley Park council candidate Jeanne Franz
    Democratic Prospect Park constable candidate Jon Uhrin
    Republican Chester Township Council candidate Franklin J. Thompson
    Democratic Yeadon council candidate Isaac L. Dotson
    Former Democratic Councilwoman Jacquelynn Puriefoy-Brinkley

    Removed for failure to get enough signatures:

    Republican Chester City mayoral candidate Sokhen Pin
    Republican Bethel Township supervisor candidate Albert Burba

    Republicans Bethel candidate Bill Stradley and Edward Karpinski failed to identify which seats they were running for. Karpinksi also faced challenges to his financial interest forms.

    Candidates have 10 days to appeal.
