Nice today, unsettled tomorrow, improving Friday, and perfect for the weekend

It’s a fine summer day, and the beach is already getting busy in Atlantic City, as seen in the Atlantic City Webcam. A bit unsettled tomorrow and early Friday, but fantastic weather is on tap for Friday afternoon and all of the weekend!

The humidity is higher than yesterday, but we’ll have bright sunshine all day and temperatures in the low 80s along the coast, mid-upper 80s inland. The wind will be increasing out of the south/southwest at 5 to 10 mph. The one downside is that an Air Quality Alert is in effect, meaning that air pollution concentrations may irritate children, people suffering from lung ailments, and the elderly.

A slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm tonight, when temperatures will drop down into the upper 60s to low 70s.

Sun and clouds tomorrow, and a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Similar high temperatures as today. The threat increases later tomorrow into early Friday, when a cold front will push through, increasing the chance for precipitation. Once it clears, most of Friday and the weekend looks terrific. For Saturday and Sunday, bright sunshine and highs in the middle to upper 70s along the coast, low 80s inland.

BOAT/BEACH: A calm day on the water. Breakers and seas are both about 2 feet. There are currently no marine advisories in effect. The surf temperature is in the low to middle 70s, and there is a low risk of rip currents, but always swim near a lifeguard.
