NewsWorks Tonight 1 year on — how are we doing?

On May 16, 2012, NewsWorks Tonight, our daily local news show on WHYY, will reach its first anniversary. How are we doing so far? Give us your comments.

On May 16, 2011, we introduced NewsWorks Tonight, a daily radio show whose goal is to showcase the best reporting and storytelling from the WHYY newsroom and NewsWorks’ content partners.

The show airs weeknights from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and is available online and as a podcast.

Next week, NewsWorks Tonight will celebrate it first anniversary.

We’ve received both praise and criticism from listeners about the show. A few people have told us they don’t like the music. Some people told us they were upset that it took over the 6 p.m. time slot from All Things Considered. Some people have told us they love the stories and local focus of NewsWorks Tonight.

Tell us something new. Has your opinion changed in the last year? Is there anything you would change? Give us your thoughts below.
