NewsWorks on the scene: family car struck by hit-and-run driver on Chelten Avenue

Authorities are looking for the man who fled the scene of a car crash this afternoon on Chelten Avenue near Greene Street.

A family of four sustained what are believed to be minor injuries when their car was struck. The offending driver left, dropping a Chicago Bears hat on the street. His dark blue BMW, seen above, appears to be badly damaged.

“A nasty hit-and-run at Chelten and Greene in Germantown,” reads a tweet from the scene. “Guy hit car with man, woman, two kids. Took off running ‘in no pain,’ says witness.”
