New spillway under construction in Seaford

DelDOT unveils plans for a new spillway at Williams Pond in Seaford.

Construction will begin one week from today on the 120 foot long semicircle spillway similar to those in place at Betts Pond and Reynolds Pond.  Work crews began drawing down water in Williams Pond last summer and determined that the current spillway was beyond repair and a new one was needed.  The construction process is expected to take about 90 days.  During construction, Poplar Street will be closed.
