New Delaware DMV facility is the subject of a public workshop

Delawareans are invited to learn more today about a proposed new Division of Motor Vehicle Facility in the Bear-Glasgow area.

The Department of Transportation is holding a public workshop meeting today from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Kathleen H. Wilbur Elementary School, 3942 Wrangle Hill Road in Bear.  Detailed plans will be available for review and DelDOT representatives will be on hand to accept comments.  The DMV office would be built next to the DART Mid-County maintenance facility on Route 13 south of Route 72.  It would replace the existing Airport Road Facility in the New Castle area, which was opened in 1965 and is now frequently overcrowded.  Comments from the public may also be sent by mail to DelDOT Public Relations, P.O. Box 778, Dover DE 19903.
