Name change for Philadelphia’s comprehensive plan

The city-wide portion of Philadelphia’s comprehensive plan has a new name. The plan will no longer be called Philadelphia2035, which is probably a good decision, given the vagueness of it.

Instead, we now have the The Comprehensive Plan/Citywide Vision. It just rolls off the tongue.

NewsWorks partner PlanPhilly has coverage of this week’s planning commissioners meeting where Alan Urek, director of the strategic planning and policy division, explained some changes to the document, which included an emphasized role of civic associations and discussion of the future of vacant land.
