Name change coming for Ocean City’s pizza destination

A South Jersey pizzeria is getting a new name for the new year.

Come Jan. 1, Mack and Manco’s Pizza, the name synonymous with pizza in Ocean City, will be Manco and Manco’s Pizza.

The Mack and Manco’s website now takes you to a coming soon link for MancosPizza.com, which is 80 percent complete and due to launch Dec. 27. The “About Us” section — the only part of the site that’s ready — says nothing about the name change, but co-owner Chuck Bangle tells the Inquirer the name change is just a matter of the two entities formally parting ways. The Manco family has been going it alone for years, while Mack’s has made a home in Wildwood.
