Murphy’s last congressional push
Patrick Murphy’s final act as congressman for Pennsylvania’s 8th District is pressuring the Senate to overturn Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. The Democrat has circulated an email petition via the Courage Campaign to repeal the pollicy before the new year.
If the Senate doesn’t overturn DADT by the end of the year, the House will have to find another primary sponsor for the legislation, since Murphy was unseated by Republican Mike Fitzpatrick.
According to a report from the Bucks County Courier Times, the petition garnered 5,000 signatures in 24 hours
