Elizabeth Moselle, Director of Commercial Corridor Revitalization at MAUSA, said the meetings are for Mt. Airy business owners to learn about how the association will directly benefit them.

Moselle was reluctant to provide too many details ahead of the meetings. She wants prospective business members to have the right context when she explains BAM’s multi-tiered membership plan and the fee structure. The idea is that business owners pay only for activities that directly benefit from.

“If you are home based graphic designer, and you want to get a little bit of promotion and be able to go to an educational workshop every quarter and have the network you can do that and not feel you are paying extra money for a restaurant event,” Moselle said.

BAM will help to promote businesses through a new website showcasing Mt. Airy as a vibrant neighborhood. GoMtAiry.com, which Mt. Airy USA will launch in the next few months, will include a business directory, tourist itineraries, and an events calendar.

Mt. Airy USA is requesting that anyone interested in attending the January meetings to RSVP: hmalson@mtairyusa.org
