Mother will stand trial for death of infant son in shelter

    The mother charged with murder for the death of her infant son while in a shelter will stand trial. Quasir Alexander was just 2 months old when he died Dec. 23. He weighed less than he did at birth.
    The Associated Press and Philadelphia Inquirer report Tanya Williams will face a trial for the charges stemming from her son’s starvation death at a Travelers Aid shelter in West Philadelphia. Her other five children are in foster care.
