Morrisville school director promises no tax hike despite preliminary budget shortfall

Despite a $2 million shortfall in the preliminary budget, Morrisville, Bucks County, School Director Marlys Mihok says there won’t be a tax increase.

Due largely to salaries and benefits, the district will need to trim its $19.7 million preliminary budget, the Bucks County Courier Times reports.

Though Mihok hasn’t said how she’ll reach the $17.9 million goal, she promised at a Wednesday night meeting not to increase taxes.
