More than 374K remain without electricity in N.J.

    Utility crews continue to restore electricity even as a nor’easter delivers wind, rain and sleet to parts of New Jersey battered by Superstorm Sandy.

    More than 374,000 homes and businesses remain without service a week and a half after the storm struck, down from a high of 2.7 million.

    Public Service Electric & Gas has 185,380 outages. Crews are working to bring a substation in Bayonne back into service.

    Jersey Central Power & Light has 278,446 customers without power, mainly in Monmouth and Morris counties.

    Orange & Rockland has 10,065 households and Atlantic City Electric is reporting 295 without power.
