Montgomery County senator interested in state Attorney General run

Competition has begun to heat up for the Pennsylvania Attorney General seat.

PoliticsPA confirms Sen. John Rafferty, who reps parts of Montgomery, Chester and Berks counties, will give the race a go. He’s already sent a letter to Republican State Committee expressing interest in running.

Rafferty was Deputy Attorney General from 1988 to 1991, and currently chairs the Senate Transportation Committee. Also considering a run is Cumberland County DA Dave Freed.
