Montgomery County man arrested for stealing underwear of woman he met on train
Sometimes the creepy guy on the train fits the description perfectly.
An announcement today from Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman, Springfield Township Police Chief Randall D. Hummel and Upper Dublin Township Police Chief Terrance P. Thompson details the arrest of Kornwell Chan and the long list of charges against him.
Chan is in custody for allegedly stalking a woman he met at the Oreland train station and robbing her home over the holidays.
The victim met Chan at the station in the fall, but the usual nods and smiles led to further attempts at interaction from Chan the victim didn’t appreciate.
But instead of getting the hint, Chan allegedly broke into the victim’s home, stole her underwear and knocked over photos of her family. Surveillance shows Chan’s attempts at searching for the victim and her car at the station, plus records of him calling her home.
He’s charged with burglary, criminal trespass, stalking and related offenses, and is due in court next week.
