It’s a mixed bag of weather this weekend at the Jersey Shore.

Showers are moving through the area Saturday morning. But the National Weather Service says conditions will begin improving by the afternoon hours.

Clouds will begin to thin, becoming partly to mostly sunny later, the service says.

Temperatures will rise to the lower to middle 70s, and westerly winds will be gusting up to 20 miles per hour at times.

Skies will be mostly clear this evening, and it will be seasonably cool, with overnight lows in the lower to middle 50s.

Sunday morning will be dry, but clouds will increase during the day and as low pressure system approaches, according to the National Weather Service.

High temperatures will reach around 70 degrees, and shower and thunderstorm chances will increase during the afternoon hours. A light southeast wind will become south to around 13 miles per hour.

There’s a low risk of rip currents Saturday. Ocean waves are around 2 feet, and the water temperature is 60 degrees. Always swim near a lifeguard.
