Millville discourages unsanctioned block watch group

Millville, N.J., has a town watch group. It’s sanctioned by the city, works with the police department and is even tackling the issue of feral cats.

Neighborhood Street Patrol is not that group, and the city wants to make sure residents know that.

According to the News of Cumberland County, the patrol group is made up of residents who’ve taken it upon themselves to patrol their neighborhood. The city, police and the sanctioned town watch group, Center City Crime Watch, have no intentions of working with NSP.
