The week ahead features warmer air on Tuesday and Wednesday followed by rain on Thursday, forecasters say.

Under mostly sunny skies, temperatures Monday will be warmer than Sunday, but the continuing northerly breeze will add a chill to the air, according to the National Weather Service.

Warmer air then flows into the region for Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs at the coast reaching the middle 60s. Mostly sunny skies are expected on Tuesday, followed by a mixture of sun and clouds on Wednesday, according to NOAA.

A cold front approaches on Thursday, delivering a high likelihood of rain, then heads offshore by Friday. High temperatures at the coast will drop slightly to the lower 60s.

A chance of rain continues for Friday, although skies will become clearer, lasting through most of the weekend (slight chance of rain on Sunday). High temperatures at the coast will be in the middle 50s on Friday and slightly cooler on Saturday, with a breeze each day, followed by a slightly warmer Sunday.
