The recalled drugs may not contain the correct dose of drug. McNeil, which is a Johnson & Johnson company, said some concentrations of active ingredients may be too high.

Officials from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration completed their inspection of McNeil’s Fort Washington plant last week, and a letter detailing their findings is expected this week.

The FDA has said there’s only a remote risk for serious medical problems, but it advises consumers to stop using the medicines. Officials say parents should check with a health care provider to find a substitute for the recalled drugs. McNeil also recalled some of its over-the-counter children’s medications earlier this year.
