Mayor Nutter to speak on non-violence in Kensington

The beating death of Kevin Kless, 23, in Old City marked the 20th homicide in the city of Philadelphia in 2012.  Mayor Michael Nutter is scheduled to speak at Bethel Temple Community Bible Church at 4 p.m. on Monday evening to commemorate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with a non-violence rally.  Nutter called for a day of non-violence to honor the memory of Martin Luther King, Jr., last week.
WHYY’s Emma Jacob’s will attend the meeting and have a report later this evening on NewsWorks.org.
