Mayor gives Occupy 48 hours to vacate Dilworth

Occupy Philly must be out of Dilworth Plaza at City Hall by 5 p.m. Sunday, Mayor Michael Nutter announced today.

“People have the next 48 hours to do what they need to do,” Nutter said.

Nutter declined to say what the city would do to remove any Occupy protestors who don’t leave.

The mayor said a permit would be issued to the protestors for Thomas Paine Plaza across the street. In that location, no tents will permitted. Occupy members will not be permitted to sleep over.
