Marlboro Police searching for missing autistic man

    Marlboro Police are searching for an autistic man who has been missing since late Tuesday night.

    Michael Karwan, described as a high-functioning autistic 19-year-old, left home voluntarily after an argument with his parents, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and green sneakers, according to Marlboro-Colts Neck Patch. He was last seen near School Road West in Marlboro. 

    Karwan is described as 6-feet tall and 220 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, according to police. 

    Karwan, who is likely traveling on foot, attempted to check into a Freehold hotel on Tuesday night but was turned away due to lack of identification, the Asbury Park Press reports

    A $25,000 reward is offered for information that leads to Karwan, who may be drawn to businesses that offer comic books and movies, the newspaper reports.
