Markell urges week of volunteer service
Governor Jack Markell is urging all Delawareans to take part in the third annual Delaware Week of Service this week.
The Week of Service stems from a weekend event the Markells hosted instead of the traditional Inaugural Ball after Markell took office. This year’s week of service coincides with National Volunteerism Week. The state has set up a website at volunteerdelaware.org for nonprofit groups to register their volunteer needs.
