Markell participates in 9/11 flag-stitching ceremony

The National 9/11 Flag Tour will stop in Delaware this afternoon as it makes its way across American before finding a home at the National September 11 Memorial Museum.

Gov. Jack Markell and the Dover Fire Company will participate in the nationwide effort to stitch back together the flag destroyed in the Sept. 11 aftermath.

Local service heroes will help restore the flag by stitching in pieces of flags from each state that were destined for retirement.
