Manyunk Arts Festival returns, this time with state funds
For the first time in 22 years, the Manayunk Arts Festival has some state funding.
The festival returns this weekend, and comes with $20,000 in state funds used for marketing.
More than 250 artists from 24 states will display their work on Main Street this weekend, while the Manayunk Development Corporation works to draw eyes and wallets to neighborhood businesses.
Main Street will shut down early Saturday morning the prepare. The festival begins at 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday and runs into the early evening. Look for coverage of the festival on NewsWorks.
