Man electrocuted trying to steal copper in Bucks County

Police in Bucks County say the man found dead outside a vacant manufacturing building in Warrington earlier this month was electrocuted while trying to steal copper.

The 21-year-old Woodland, N.J. man was already dead when police found him outside the former METCO Manufacturing building, PhillyBurbs reports.  He’d cut a fence lock with bolt cutters, despite the “high voltage” warning sign, and then tried to cut a piece of copper wire inside a generator.

He was buried earlier this week.
