Lynne Abraham won’t seek attorney general seat

Lynne Abraham won’t run for Pennsylvania Attorney General. Not this time around, anyway.

The former Philadelphia district attorney is enjoying life outside public office, and her campaign adviser tells the Daily News Abraham will sit this one out.

That leaves three contenders for AG Linda Kelly’s seat: Former Lackawanna County prosecutor Kathleen Kane, former Philadelphia prosecutor Dan McCaffery and former U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy. Sen. John Rafferty of Collegeville is the only Republican in the race thus far.

Abraham was the first woman in the city on the Municipal Court and the first (and only) woman district attorney. She also has her face etched on a beer glass at an Old City bar.
