Long week for residents along Schuylkill River in Pottstown

    Its been a long couple of days for many residents with homes that sit along the Schuylkill in Pottstown.

    The Daily Local News reports borough officials have been keeping a close eye on the river, monitoring its water levels with a gauge at the Hanover Street bridge.

    The Daily Local News says there were four one-hour releases from the Blue Marsh dam that began Thursday, with 9 million gallons of water released during each increment.

    Some roads in the area have been closed for flooding.
