Lockheed Martin puts Medford mayor on leave after escort allegations

Lockheed Martin has placed Medford, N.J., Mayor Chris Myers on indefinite administrative leave following allegations from a male escort that Myers hired him and then failed to fulfill a monetary promise.

The Courier-Post first published this story last month when a photo surfaced online of what is allegedly Myers’ wallet and mayoral ID card in the possession of a male escort Myers was said to have hired. The escort says he never received the car and other gifts Myers promised.

Lockheed Martin, where Myers oversees the energy programs, said it removed the mayor to prevent workplace distractions.

The “normal” council meeting Myers was counting on last night was postponed after township manager Christopher Schultz said he couldn’t determine if there’d be a quorum (three of council’s five members) available.
