Licensing ties to Joe Paterno cut by Penn State

Penn State has severed ties with the name, likeness and image of former head football coach Joe Paterno.

The Associated Press is reporting a school spokeswoman announced Friday the University had sent notices this week to licensees that Paterno’s daughter, Mary Kay Hort, would now be handling the licensing program for JVP Properties.

The Associated Press says previously, Penn State assisted with its licensing.

Penn State says the decision to cut ties was mutual.
