Lewes soup ministry selected for “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”
The winner was announced this morning. Narrowed down from a handful of finalists, Jusst Sooup Ministry in Lewes has been selected to appear on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition for a new facility in Sussex County, Del.
The Rev. Dale Dunning has given more than 65,000 bowls of soup through the ministry, and will set up shop in the new location on Route 9 in Cool Springs once construction is complete.
As work begins, traffic will be diverted. The News Journal reports Cool Spring Road is closed between Log Cabin and Fisher Roads today through Monday, and both shoulders of U.S. 9 between Hudson and Joseph Roads are closed. Local traffic only on Cool Spring Road.
Finalists were on notice late last week as they waited to find out who would be chosen for the new home. The episode will be the ABC series’ Thanksgiving special.
