Large RSVP pool shifts time and location of next Smoke Signals forum

South Philly residents are itching to talk about smoking regulations.

The next Smoke Signals discussion forum was set to take place tomorrow night, but will instead be held in the later afternoon at South Philadelphia High School.

The South Philly High forum was drawing a lot of attention, so to meet those demands, you can chat about Philadelphia smoking regulations Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the school. WHYY, the Penn Project for Civic Engagement and the city’s Department of Public Health are looking for community input on some pretty game-changing regulations.

Should smoking be banned in parks? Or in multi-family housing? Should stores be prevented from selling tobacco near schools?

Some residents have weighed in already at earlier forums, but Wednesday will provide another chance to do so — particularly for students.

Bring your questions, bring your comments. Be prepared to leave your butts at the door.
