L.A. Dodgers bankruptcy case heads to court in Delaware

Baseball references abound when you’re talking about team owners in court. We’ll try to keep the puns to a bare minimum. No promises.

A Delaware Court is supposed to be a level playing field for L.A. Dodgers owner Frank McCourt. McCourt says the team filed for Chapter 11 protection because MLB Bud Selig failed to approve a network TV deal for the team, as WHYY’s Mark Fowser reports.

McCourt is also going to bat against his estranged wife for ownership of the team. It’s going to be an ugly series.
