Krispy Kreme to cut ribbon on Bensalem franchise at 10 a.m.

At 10 a.m., Bensalem Mayor M. Joseph DiGirolamo Jr. will get out the big scissors for the ribbon cutting at the town’s newest business.

As of 6 a.m., Krispy Kreme Bensalem is open for business, and first 100 people in the door made off with free doughnuts, coffee and T-shirts. The franchise’s first task was a donation of 300 dozen doughnuts to the Bensalem Public Safety Holiday Initiative for fundraising.
